Pickup and Delivery

How do I get my items picked up?

You can schedule a pick up online or by calling us at (866) 767-7223.

Our storage experts will call you before your appointment to discuss logistics (parking, gate codes, packing materials etc.). On the appointment day, we will load your items into our trucks and transport them to the storage facility you selected.

What are your pickup and delivery times?

We know you’d rather not take time off work to lift & move stuff. To accommodate work schedules & keep costs low, we offer pick ups and deliveries at the following times:

- Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM

- Saturday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM

How do I get my things delivered?

Our delivery process is straightforward. When you want something back, just select the items from your inventory online and schedule a delivery. You can hand pick individual items for delivery. We’ll have it at your doorstep that evening.

Can I drop off my items to the storage facility?

For security reasons we do not allow access to our storage facilities. Use convenient delivery options to retrieve your items.

Can I pick up my items from the storage facility?

For security reasons we do not allow access to our storage facilities. Use our free pickup* and convenient delivery options to store and retrieve your items.

(*Free pickups are only available for regular sized items)

What if I need something back in a hurry?

In most cases, we can have your items back by that evening. For urgent requests, feel free to call our number at (866) 767-7223.

I’m moving. Can you deliver to a different address?

To deliver to an address different from your original pickup address:

- After 3 months of storage, our standard delivery charge applies.

- Within 3 months of storage, our special delivery charge of $99 applies.

How much does it cost to get my things picked up?

Pickups are Free for regular sized items. There is $29 service fee, if you have large items like a bed, or a couch and a $49 labor fee if we have to move large items down a flight of stairs.

When you want something delivered, just browse your items online and select the items you want delivered.

- If your delivery request only contains regular sized items, we charge a flat $19 delivery fee.

- If your delivery request contains one or more large items, we charge a flat $29 delivery fee. There is an additional $49 labor charge if we have to move large items up a flight of stairs.

Facility and Location

Where will my thing be stored?

We serve the entire bay area and have set up several warehouses to increase the speed & efficiency of our service. By default, your possessions will be stored at the warehouse closest to your home. If you are moving, you can choose to have your possessions stored at another location. (Please refer to the questions on moving in the pick up & delivery section.)

Can I access the storage facility myself?

In order to maintain the security of your possessions, we don't allow customers access to our storage facilities.

Do you rent storage units?

At Closet.ly, we believe you should only pay for the space you use, so we do not rent individual storage units. To save you from the hassle of searching for the perfectly sized unit, we store your items efficiently in our secure storage facility.

Are your facilities climate controlled?

Yes, Our facilities are climate controlled so you can be sure your possessions are in a safe environment.

Pricing and Billing

How much does storage cost?

You only pay for the space you use. Our pricing model is designed to accommodate any storage need. Here are some examples of items that cost just $5/month to store:

- A large box (up to 50 pounds)

- Regular furniture items like a coffee table or a love seat.

- Large furniture items like a bed frame, mattress or couch.

- Sports equipment like A pair of skis + poles + boots or a snowboard + boots or a surfboard

- A bicycle, road or mountain.

How much does it cost to get my things picked up?

- Pickups are free, if you are storing only regular sized items.

- If you are storing one or more large items, we charge a flat $29 delivery fee. There is an additional $49 labor charge if we have to move large items down a flight of stairs.

We consider the following as regular sized items:

How much does it cost to store a bed?

Typically, a bed consists of 4 items. We consider the following as separate items:

- Bed frame

- Headboard and footboard

- Mattress

- Box Spring

Our standard pricing of $5/month applies to each of these items.

What kind of payments do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards & debit cards.

When do you charge?

We will not charge your card until the day of your pick up. From there on out, we will charge your account every month.

Is there a minimum contract?

No, there is no minimum contract to store items with us. You can get your items delivered and close your account at any time.

Safety and Security

How are my things secured?

We’re maniacal about security. We adhere to the following “best in class” standards to protect your belongings:

-Stringent state & federal background checks for all employees

-State of the art facilities with 24X7 surveillance

-Secured warehouses with access restricted only to Closet.ly employees

Are my things insured?

Your items are stored in a safe, secure and climate controlled storage facility. We insure your possessions for $50 per box, piece of furniture, bikes, golf clubs, etc. The insurance applies throughout the entire process - while we transport your possessions from and to your home, and while they are stored at our facility against damage, theft, or loss.

Who has access to my things?

Only Closet.ly employees have access to the area where your things are stored. They are only allowed to move them during pick up & delivery.

Remember - all Closet.ly employees must go through stringent background & criminal checks.
